Maya Jordan is a working-class feminist, neurodivergent storyteller and writer living in mid-Wales. With a master’s in creative writing from The Open University, her work has appeared in national magazines and journals, and she has written fortnightly columns for The Mirror’s Lemon-Aid newsletter. An inaugural recipient of A Writing Chance Award, her work was performed by Michael Sheen for BBC Wales. A regular blogger, Maya writes non-fiction, fiction and children’s fiction, and performs as a storyteller at festivals, galleries and libraries. Her debut memoir, Chopsy, was published by September Publishing in February 2026.
