Hannah Dafforn grew up in Cilgerran. After graduating from Pembrokeshire College, she studied Classics & English at the University of Oxford, followed by advanced Spanish language qualifications and a CIOL Diploma of Translation. She has carried out editorial projects for Parthian Books and Spanish-English translation for the Mexico-based FOUND project, which works closely with grassroots search collectives to develop new technologies to aid in the search for clandestine graves in Jalisco and other states affected by the disappearance crisis. She has written nonfiction for Wales Arts Review and the New Statesman under the name Harper Dafforn. ‘Amapolas’ is her first piece of published fiction.
