Maya Jones is a short-story and non-fiction writer currently based in Manchester, UK. Her work has been longlisted for The Observer/Anthony Burgess Prize and the QuietManDave Prize. ‘Blue August’ was started on a windy day on Aberdaron beach and is her first published story.
