Larissa Kyzer is a writer and Icelandic-English literary translator. Her recent and forthcoming full-length translations include The Mark by Fríða Ísberg, The Fires by Sigríður Hagalín Björnsdóttir, A Fist or a Heart by Kristín Eiríksdóttir, The Strongest Woman in the World by Steinunn G. Helgadóttir, and Sixty Kilos of Knockouts by Hallgrímur Helgason. Her translation work has received support from the NEA, the European Union Prize for Literature, Fulbright, the American-Scandinavian Foundation, the Icelandic Literature Center, Reykjavík UNESCO City of Literature, and Finland’s Kone Foundation.
