Fríða Ísberg is an Icelandic fiction writer and poet. Her debut novel, The Mark, was received with critical acclaim in Iceland and won The Fjara Literature Prize, The Icelandic Booksellers Award, the prestigious P.O. Enquist Award in Sweden and was longlisted for the 2025 Dublin Literary Award. Fríða was the 2021 recipient for The Optimist Award, handed by the President of Iceland to one national artist. Her work has been translated into over twenty languages. She lives in Reykjavík with her family.
